A few nights ago, as Theresa helped me make dinner, we heard fighting coming from the boys' room. Theresa left my side and walked down the hall. Her eldest sister overheard her say, "Now, now, now, what's going on? Let me sort this out. Patrick, what did you do?"

Anne Pellowski
I am excited. I just visited Bethlehem Books and saw that they are reprinting Anne Pellowski's Latsch Valley Series. My two eldest really enjoy reading these books and I have even used a couple of them for read alouds.

Our Hero
Brendan: "Mommy, why didn't Daddy run for president? He could have won."
Me: "He's my hero, too."
Me: "He's my hero, too."
I know it goes without saying
Please pray for our country, especially Washington state. The voters in Washington made the deadly mistake of passing I-1000 (physician-assisted suicide). My children, husband, and I spent several days, before and after our baby was born, going door-to-door distributing no on I-1000 literature. Like my ob/gyn, I honestly believed that the people of Washington would never accept such a dangerous initiative.
My husband often reminds me that "God allows things to happen for a reason." I know that he is right, but I am having a hard time understanding. Thus, all I can do is pray and all I can say is "Jesus, I trust in you!"

Voting Pro-Life
If you know Catholics who believe it is okay to vote for pro-abortion politicians, you may want to share what some of the U.S. Bishops have stated regarding the necessity to vote for LIFE, www.gospeloflifeinstitute.org/BishopsProlifeVoting.pdf
May God bless those Bishops who “stand up fearlessly against the agents of death.” (Bishop Finn)
