On Saturday, May 2, Theresa received the Sacrament of Penance for the first time. The night before she did so, she asked me, "What if I don't have any sins?" She knows what sins are, but she could not remember any of her own. I answered her question and then proceeded to help her examine her conscience by asking her questions and telling her to think about the answers. She was relaxed and excited to go to Confession when Saturday morning came.
