  1. How did your 10th grader like "The Scarlet Pimpernel"? My Jonathan, now 15, didn't like it very much. Too emotional for his taste. I also read it and really liked it.

  2. Hi Eva,

This is actually the third time that Catherine has read the book. She really likes it and has asked me if I can put other books by Baroness Orczy on hold at the library.

  3. I'll tell Jonathan that. He thought the language was too flowery :). Must be a boy/girl difference in taste.

  4. I think that it probably is a boy/girl difference in taste. I failed to mention that Catherine shared that she didn't know whether or not her oldest brother would like the book. :)

  6. Catherine is waiting for The Elusive Pimpernel from the library. I will let you know what she thinks of it.

She is currently reading Maria Chapdelaine and really enjoying it so far. The book is available from OLVS or free on Kindle.
