Introducing Our Tie Breaker

On Septuagesima Sunday, we were blessed with our 5th son.

After a very fast labor, Kilian was born via a primary c-section at 5:31 a.m.

He was a healthy 9 lbs 2.4 oz and measured 20 3/4 inches.

We are all in love with our quiet baby boy.

I look at Kilian for hours on end in complete awe, thanking God for him and Our Blessed Mother for her intercession.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee,
O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

Thank you to family and friends, near and far, who prayed for our baby boy.

  2. Congratulations to you and Kilian! What a beautiful name and boy. Did you know you would have a c-section? 9 lbs is quite a boy!! Jonathan was 5 lbs 6 oz and I think my heaviest girl was 6 lbs 7 oz. Enjoy this time. How I miss having a small baby.

    1. Thank you, Eva. I didn't plan on a c-section. However, when the doctor told me that there were two feet ready to come out and the safest way to deliver the baby was a c-section, I said that I wanted to do what was safest for baby. I am so thankful that Kilian is here.

      Most of my babies have been in the 8 pound range with three heavier exceptions. May God bless you!

    1. Thank you, Gwen. I hadn't realized that you had a c-section with #8. I never realized what mothers with c-sections experienced. As I told my husband, I was given a little cross and a great joy. May God bless you and your beautiful family!
