I should have explained. If it snows and sticks for Christmas, then we cannot all go to our parish for Midnight Mass. This happened to us a few years ago. My children really look forward to going to this Mass and prefer it when the whole family is able to go.
The snow here is very slippery because there is usually ice underneath it. An Alaskan friend of my parents was once visiting when it snowed and she ended up putting my mom's car in a ditch. Our Jetta does fine in the snow, but our large van is impossible to drive with any accumulation. We live on a slight hill and have to go down a hill to get to our street. The back end of our van slips and slides. I found these twoposts which might explain it a little bit better. My children don't mind if it snows on Christmas day or evening. It just can't snow in the morning. :)
Lovely pictures, we had our first snow.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eva. My children keep hoping that we have snow that sticks this year. However, they do not want snow for Christmas. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy not for Christmas? That is rather odd.

ReplyDeleteThat makes more sense because normally everybody wants a white Christmas. Does the traffic collapse when there is snow or why can't you all go?

ReplyDeleteThat does sound dangerous, so I'm hoping you won't get any for Christmas!
