Happy Thanksgiving!

A friend asked elsewhere, "What are we most grateful for this year?"

I didn't have to think twice. I am grateful that my husband survived his massive heart attack. I am thankful for daily Mass and a holy, kind, and patient new pastor, Fr. S. Finally, I am thankful to be expecting another baby.

I hope that everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving. God bless you and your families!

  1. I was gong to ask after yesterday's post if you were really pregnant, but now I know! Congratulations, Christine, how exciting!

    1. Thank you, Eva. I am 11 weeks today. We are all very excited. I have another ultrasound scheduled for December 8. I am looking forward to seeing this little one again, and I will share the ultrasound photo from that appointment.

    2. Will you find out the gender? How is your husband doing?

    3. We have always waited until the baby is born to find out the sex. One of my doctors told me that I can have a simple blood draw from my arm after 10 weeks that could tell us if the baby is a boy or girl. My husband is debating whether or not we should find out this time. I still want to be surprised.

My husband is doing much better. I have revamped his diet which has helped lower his ldl and triglyceride levels (not that they were that high when he had his heart attack) and raise his hdl levels. Thank you for asking. I hope that you and your family had a happy Thanksgiving. God bless you!

    5. Thank you, Eva. Please keep praying for my husband. We learned recently that he has clot in the apex of his heart. We also learned that his heart continued to sustain damage after the heart attack and is operating at 38%.

We usually don't find out whether we are having a boy or a girl; however, this time, we accidentally found out that we are having a boy. It's hard for me to believe that I will have six boys. I have always been such a girly girl.

I have been enjoying reading your blog and seeing all of your photos. I apologize for being so quiet. God bless you!

    6. Oh no, that does not sound good. Is there anything that can be done for him? Can he work?

Congratulations on another boy. I always wanted to have one more, after all my girls, but I guess that was not meant to be. Maybe all your boys will have lots of daughters later on :).

Don't apologizes for not commenting! You have a lot do deal with right now. I will say a special prayer in church for your whole family tomorrow! God bless you too.

      Love and hugs,
      Eva

    1. Thank you, Kimberlee. We are so thankful for Fr. S. He gives wonderful sermons and is a very caring priest. Not only are both priests from your state, but both also originally came from Texas. :)
